Francesco Galletta was born in 1950 in Messina, where he still currently lives. He started to paint at a very young age and, even if he briefly attended the lessons of the painters Marletta and Paggi, as well as those of sculptor and potter Lucerna, he must be considered self-taught.
For a brief period of time he also lived in Palermo, Roma and Civitavecchia.
Some of his works were used as covers for various literature publications.
He also illustrated some poetry collections.
